Blakk Rasta, a contentious artist, and broadcaster, claims that if he had his way, Sarkodie’s music would be banned for a while because of lyrics on the song Try Me that he believes are offensive to femininity. That song was released on Tuesday, June 27.
On Saturday, July 1, Blakk Rasta made a comment on UTV’s United Showbiz pointing out that the award-winning rapper was incorrect to refer to Yvonne negatively as a street girl.
He claimed that Sarkodie went too low in his response to Yvonne’s assertions that she had an abortion for him in 2010.
The song by Sarkodie is worthless. He will lose all of his ambassadorial deals if I get my way. I’ll stop playing his songs for a while.
“This is a fatherless woman. She hasn’t had a father in her life up to this point. This woman has been through hell; she came close to being Miss Ghana, but something prevented her from taking home the title.
“I thus anticipate Corporate Sarkodie, who wants everyone to think of him as the industry’s sweetheart and a gentleman, to utter this coarse language. You slept with a homeless woman because you belong on the streets. That’s incredibly immature.
Prostitutes are found in the Bible. Even a prostitute assisted God in saving Israel. Since Mary Magdalene was a prostitute, you shouldn’t treat them with contempt. Who gives Sarkodie advice? The writing Yvonne produced is a gem, and reading it makes Blakk Rasta happy.
Blakk Rasta said he would have been delighted if Yvonne had equally named names like the lesbian Nollywood actress and the Nigerian actor who used drugs on the set since they were both interested in the same topics.
